[MEMORY # 2 (TRIVIAL POSITIVE)]
* A day posing as a university student.
[Game 112 - imagination - Three | Day 142 | nonshareable]
"Work is in accordance with individual character and effort. Everybody has his or own field of work, right? Not all Terran can accept high-class education and become citizens," said Seth, shrugging.
After reapplying the gauze, Seth appeared lost in thought. "At least we're given an equal opportunity. Our chance to get an education is not limited by birth or finances, like in the Outer. If you work hard and pass the exams, anybody can become a citizen, no matter how old. Qualification to take the exams is not limited. This isn't necessarily limited to education, either. It's the Empire's style to value Terrans' hard work and what the individual can do to coexist peacefully."

That's about all the info we get on the Empire's education system, other than that students are not allowed to take side jobs and are expected to focus on their studies fully! Obviously the memory is of Seth living in this system rather than talking about it.
This is one of her 'undercover role' memories! She has a lot of these. In this one, she's a student of medicine going about her business; she's also quietly poking around after rumors of illicit, unregistered blood donations being made, using the university's equipment. It is not very exciting.
+ Universities, dormitories, classes, general knowledge that 'Terran' and 'Methuselah' learning is artificially equalized by the system; no solid knowledge yet of what 'Terran' or 'Methuselah' are or why blood donations are a thing.
+ 20 SURE IS A LOT OF SCIENCE WHERE I'M FROM! Actual science/medicine details are blurred because those are skills.
+ Also she already knew what was being taught to her(?)
+ Byzantium is the city where she lives! Quiet sense of proprietary pride in Byzantium's facilities(?) Awareness that the city is veiled against the sun.
+ 20 false identities, established cover stories, costuming . . .
+ 20 sense of only being free under false identity.
+ The 'young, hardworking, educated Terran student' role! Comes with a false name Eve will not bother revealing or using in Aather.
+ 10 secured in fakery now that she has one of her detailed false backgrounds back, as well as one of her real responsibilities.
