EVE'S HEART

A dark veil slips over you, obscuring your vision; it’s cool and clinging, and blocks out all outside sensation. You drift downward . . . as you do, you grow more and more aware of the pulse of your own heartbeat, until it’s a ringing, unpleasant throb in your ears.

. . . after some time, it’s interrupted by a soft splash, and you feel solid rock underfoot.

She told me they died.

And she's been here by herself this whole time?

Maybe we can find her a companion in another part of the heart, and bring it here?

Mm, that seems like the best idea. Where would you like to look?

We could ask the Eve who greeted us, yeah?

[pulling the computer out of his pocket, and typing in:]

Hey, Eve! You there?

[BUSY TYPING ON HERS TOO]

I'm here. If this is about company for the person up there, then I can think of one, but you'll have to convince her.
