EVE'S HEART
A dark veil slips over you, obscuring your vision; it’s cool and clinging, and blocks out all outside sensation. You drift downward . . . as you do, you grow more and more aware of the pulse of your own heartbeat, until it’s a ringing, unpleasant throb in your ears.
. . . after some time, it’s interrupted by a soft splash, and you feel solid rock underfoot.
((Please join #fleshbloodbone. All your character’s skills are on and uncapped; they will also have access to any items they carry normally!))

She tries to hang on to a cabinet door, but the hinges break.
Re: blood (a dull house)
You haven't done much to keep it up, have you? You could fix that.
[he's referring to the hinges.]
Re: blood (a dull house)
"Not now. You'll break it more."
Re: blood (a dull house)
Keep it better, or I'll burn it down around your ears. What happened here?

Re: blood (a dull house)
Yes. And you're alive. For now.

Re: blood (a dull house)
Is that your nature, little girl? You only wake up when events challenge you?

The smell of alkali is coming from the door. It too starts to corrode.

Re: blood (a dull house)
You can hear water dripping from somewhere in the tangle, but it's very slow and faint, single drops falling from one source. Plink. Plink.

Re: blood (a dull house)
There is a dead sapling in a small clear space in the undergrowth -- it looks like it wouldn't have had a chance even in a normal garden, as sunlight wouldn't have reached it down here. The ice around its withered roots has cracked, and the water has melted off it to form a small puddle around it.

then snickers, low, and turns the heat up.]
Re: blood (a dull house)
The garden begins to melt, as a whole, nearby twigs catching afire when the water on them evaporates.
